Meet Chicago’s Security Team

Joseph P. Kelly

President of Intellex Security, Inc., is a retired Chicago Police Captain with 32 years experience. Mr. Kelly  has a Master’s degree in Criminal Justice from Lewis University. Mr. Kelly was responsible for coordinating and supervising numerous large events such as the “Taste of Chicago” since its beginning and also headed security at the “Celebrate on State” street fest. Included in his services was on-site security with a select unit of individuals for numerous Super Bowl locations.

Patrick R. Murray

Vice President of Intellex Security, Inc., is a retired Detective with 29 years of experience with The Chicago Police Department. Mr. Murray is an U.S. Army veteran and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Social Justice from Lewis University. He has trained and supervised personnel with respect to special events, commercial security and retail security environments.

Brian Kelly

Account Advisor has a Bachelor’s degree in Finance from the Illinois Institute of Technology. Brian specializes in ensuring our customer service and the relationship aspect of our operations. He helps provide our clients with quality and excellence.

Timothy Gainer

Director of Hotel and Convention Services is a retired Chicago Police Lieutenant with over 25 years experience. Mr. Gainer has extensive Hotel and Convention Security operations. He has been supervising hotel and convention operations for over 20 years.
